When I saw the trailer for the Space Punks game, two things struck me: First, the game sounds like a Borderlands ARPG, and second, I haven’t heard that Offspring song in a long time. Plus, the game looks like a great way to pass the time.

Space Punks is produced by developer Flying Wild Hog, the studio behind the FPS Shadow Warrior and the upcoming side-scrolling action game Trek to Yomi, and publisher Jagex Partners. This is Jagex’s first ever third-person game. The game itself features run-and-gun gameplay reminiscent of all manner of ARPGs, with the player controlling one of four different characters, and promises a living, breathing, constantly evolving game world – a true live action game that fits Flying Wild Hog’s creative mission to create intense, fast-paced, and completely unique games that take players to new, unexpected, and exciting worlds.

Space Punks will be at 14. July in early access for PC, with an open beta planned for winter and a console version in 2022. In the meantime, you can check out the entire game in the trailer below.
