Studies have shown that eating fewer carbs can help with losing weight, but doing so isn’t as simple as cutting out all carbs immediately. To take the guesswork out of any diet, I’ve created a recipe for a keto-friendly energy ball. These treats are nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free, and can be enjoyed as part of a keto diet.

Keto is a diet that involves a significant reduction of energy intake and consequent increase of energy expenditure in the form of exercise to promote fat loss and weight loss. We Adore Keto Products!

If you haven’t noticed, we have a section on our food blog dedicated to all of the items we use and like. One of them, Creation Nation Protein Bar Mix, was the inspiration for these keto energy balls. Until now, it’s been a must-have in our family (thanks to a homemade version)! The following are some of our other favorite keto products:

  1. Bars for a Keto Diet
  2. Zevia Energy Drinks and Sodas (great alternative to regular sodas using stevia for sweetener)

  4. Protein Bars Marigold

What Keto-Friendly Energy Drinks Are There?

I know what you’re thinking: “These are energy balls, so why are we discussing beverages now?” Well, energy comes in a variety of forms, the most common of which are beverages, whether it’s a large cup of coffee or sweetened energy drinks.

When it comes to beverages, keep in mind that some contain up to 300 mg of caffeine. That’s a lot of information! We like to avoid them since they are typically consumed after a cup of coffee, which has an average of 150mg each cup. So, what kinds of beverages do we prefer? Zevia makes our favorite energy drinks, with Red Bull Sugar Free and Monster Zero coming in second.

Switching Energy Balls

We tried these recently using golden flax seed meal, which is usually our go-to, but it didn’t work well with this recipe. So, for the sake of flavor, we suggest sticking with regular ground flax meal.

You may easily replace the pecans with any other nuts you have on hand, such as walnuts or almonds.

You may also use flavored protein powder instead of unflavored protein powder, such as this one! Remember that any protein taste you choose in these keto energy balls will show through. If you’re using unflavored, be sure to add some liquid stevia for sweetness!
